Commercial Analyst

This role is responsible for the analysis of sales, claims volume and other financial KPI’s at dealer account and product level to identify trends and opportunities, and to map the information against business KPI’s.

Main Job Missions

  • Support sales management by monitoring burn/loss ratios, trend in frequencies and cost of claims
  • Support sales by monitoring sales volumes, cost of claims and frequency against coverage
  • Analysis of sales volume and financials at dealer / account product level identifying discrepancies and trends
  • Industry benchmarking to identify positioning within the market
  • Analysis of competitor products and marketing campaigns to help develop competitive strategies
  • Communicate findings with recommendations to management

Key responsibilities

  • Utilise software such as Hubspot / Power BI / Tableau / Excel to analyse data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Provide analysis assistance / feedback to the product and commercial staff related to sales and product development.
  • Review and analyse reports detailing performance indicators, sales trends and other sales data analysis.

Qualifications required for this role:

  • Experience in analysis of large data sets.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of risk methodologies.
  • Knowledge of analysis software such as Power BI / Tableau / Excel.
  • Microsoft Office Software

Required skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills to support all departments within the organisation.
  • Ability to communicate to different stakeholder groups within the business.
  • Understand route cause of deviations from expected results and finding alternative courses to resolve the problem.
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects effectively.

Languages:

  • English
  • French an advantage but not essential.
