Claims process
Claims Process
To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps or watch our Claims Process Animation:
-
Step 1
- If your vehicle suffers a mechanical or electrical breakdown, please check your policy to determine if the failed item is listed for coverage under the Terms and Conditions.
-
Step 2
- Please arrange for your vehicle to be taken to one of our listed repairers using our repairer locator.
-
Step 3
- You must authorise the diagnosis of the issue and ask the repairer to contact us directly with their findings so we can assess a claim before the repair is undertaken.
-
Step 4
- Our labour rates vary according to the product you have purchased or been supplied with. When labour (which can include diagnosis) is included, our standard labour rate is up to £60 per hour (excluding VAT), subject to the terms of your warranty, so you may need to contribute to the cost as part of your claim. Please refer to your agreement Terms & Conditions to understand more.
-
Step 5
- Our final decision on any claim will be communicated to you and the repairer in a decision document. This will confirm our cost liability.
Please note that any repairs carried out without prior authorisation from Opteven will not be reimbursed.
