Opteven expands in Germany with acquisition of Multipart

Opteven expands its retail activity in Germany with the acquisition of Multipart

Opteven, leader in warranty and mechanical breakdown across Europe, announces the acquisition of the German company Multipart*, a recognised player in the German automobile warranty market. This acquisition marks a new stage in Opteven’s European growth strategy, which includes extending its scope in Germany to independent distributors.

Already present in Germany through its partnership with an OEM, Opteven is now expanding its mechanical breakdown warranty activity via independent distributors. This approach is part of Opteven’s group strategy, which aims to offer mechanical breakdown to all used vehicle sales professionals, manufacturers, distributors and other service providers. The acquisition of Multipart sees Opteven’s employees in Germany double in number, strengthening its position in the German market.

Founded by Waldemar Dixa in 1985, Multipart has been a recognised warranty provider in Germany for almost 40 years, with 60,000 contracts sold per year. Operating throughout Germany and with activities in Switzerland and Austria, the company has built a solid reputation thanks to innovative products and quality customer service.

A period of transition and handover between the Multipart and Opteven teams has already begun to ensure a smooth integration and continuity of operations and customer service.

“Expansion on a European scale is central to Opteven’s strategy. The acquisition of Multipart allows us to strengthen our presence in Germany, the leading European market for the sale of used vehicles, and to continue our growth by meeting the needs of our customers. We are delighted to be joining the Multipart team,” commented Jean-Matthieu Biseau, President of Opteven.

Ludovic Troyes, CEO of Opteven UK added: “This latest acquisition in Germany highlights the international ambition of Opteven, an ambition which is also evidenced by our own recent partnership with Driver Guardian and our extended operations in Ireland. It’s an exciting time for the company and we will be announcing further partnerships in the UK very soon.”

With this acquisition, Opteven strengthens its position in the European warranty market and confirms its commitment to offering solutions adapted to the needs of automotive professionals and motorists.

*The acquisition includes MultiPart Garantie AG, (Germany), as well as its subsidiaries Multipart Garantie AG, (Switzerland) and Multipart Automobil-Service GmbH (Austria).
