Opteven Expands into Portugal and Strengthens its International Development

Leaders in warranty and mechanical breakdown across Europe, Opteven continues its trajectory of international growth. The Group announces the acquisition of mechanical breakdown warranty business, Conexão Garantias, a Portuguese company. This transaction marks a new strategic milestone for Opteven, adding Portugal to its countries of operation and consolidates its presence across the Iberian Peninsula.

Key points:

  • Acquisition of the warranty business of Conexão Garantias in Portugal
  • New market entry for Opteven, aligned with the Highway 25 strategic plan
  • Strengthening of Opteven Iberia, now active in both Spain and Portugal
  • A robust market entry supported by an experienced local team and a significant client portfolio

A strategic presence in a growing market

Based in Maia, near Porto, Conexão Garantias has developed a mechanical breakdown warranty business covering product design, distribution, and management. Although still relatively recent, this activity shows strong growth momentum. The company has established partnerships with two repair networks, an operational management platform, and a rapidly growing customer portfolio. This acquisition provides Opteven with a solid foundation in the Portuguese market, supported by an already operational structure and an experienced founder who will continue to lead local operations.

“The acquisition of Conexão Garantias’ business represents a key step in our International development strategy. With this expansion into Portugal, Opteven reinforces its presence on the Iberian Peninsula and reaffirms its commitment to supporting mobility-sector stakeholders across all our markets. We are delighted to be able to rely on an engaged local team and a robust business model to continue our growth.”  – Jean-Matthieu Biseau, President of Opteven

“This acquisition supports Opteven’s ambitious growth strategy across Europe” commented Ludovic Troyes, CEO at Opteven UK. “Opteven are dedicated to supporting customers across the continent. The future is full of opportunity, and we, as a group, are ready to build on this momentum together.”

The Portuguese activity will be incorporated into Opteven Iberia, which now brings together operations in Spain and Portugal under the leadership of Natalia Jorquera Gil. This structure will facilitate coordination, the pooling of expertise, and the development of new offerings for clients operating across the Iberian Peninsula.
